I think most people ride the intercoastal canal around there (the ditch). I've never been on it but heard it was nice. There is a ski/wakeboard school there in San Destin (Cory Picko). I'm pretty sure they do wakeboard lessons if you want to go that route. There is Lake Jackson about an hour north in Florala on Hwy 331.

Dude, I went to San Destin a few months ago and I never found a place or anybody with a wakeboarding boat. More fishermen there than anything. Had a blast fishing. You should try that. Have fun!

Cory is the man. He can teach you anything you want on a wakeboard, just don't expect weighted boats.

Paul, you better get ready for the 4th. Crab Island!

There are a few of us around with wakeboard boats but like Wakemania said we pretty much stay in the ditch or the lakes north of Panama City. Give the guys at anchors away wake a call (866) 696-7449, they are in PC Beach and can probably hook you up with a ride or at least a winch session.
