I am about 260 and am having a hell of a time trying to get up. I can wakeboard and getting up isnt a problem but on a wakeskate it just feels like my arms are going to pop out of the sockets before the board gets on plain. would a bigger board be a way to solve this cause I was trying to ride a 41. what is the biggest board they make?

try an old wakeboard with surf wax on it for grip. Do this first just so you get comfortable with the concept then you will hit it on a skate.

Are you trying to get up with the skate in front of your or beneath you? If you have it in front of you and the driver is pinning the boat you will have difficulty. Get the skate underneath you with your knees bent and have the driver ease you up. Aslo going to a 42 or 43 would make your life a litle easier.

I agree with Micah, once you get the concept with a wakesurf board a wakeskate is not much more difficult.

I just got a Liquid Force impulse 43 and they make a wider version that may be perfect for you. And like deepcover said let the driver kick the boat in gear so you can get your feet and board in the right position and then put the board underwater, underneath you, out in front of you too and ride it out of the water. It will prevent the tug of war with the boat that’s F**ing up your arms. Like Daman said, its all the same concept for every board your not attached too.

good advice from Micah and deepcove. to make things a little easier, you can put the board in front of you like a wake board, and then rock up on top of it. it took me a few tries to get up with it completely under me, but feels comfortable now. have fun
