OK - unless you have actually owned the boat or have ridden behind it, don't comment. (Where's Joe Umali with that picture of the can of worms?) What boats have you owned or ridden behind? What boat do you currently own? What was/is your favorite boat, why? Money no object, what would you own, why? I've owned 6 Super Airs, 6 MasterCrafts, and 1 Malibu. I currently own a 2008 X-Star. My favorite overall boats were 1) the Malibu VLX I owned before this X-Star. Had minor issues with the wedge (which isn't a problem anymore) but it started and ran like a champ....every single time. 2) Any of the SuperAir's. Great wake. Solid engine. No mechanical issues. Money no object, I would probably own a VLX again or a Nautique 210 or 230. All are great boats.

We own: 2006 Mastercraft X1 Ridden behind: 07 VLX 03 VLX 08 X Star 07 Supra 24 SSV 05 Supra 22 GG edition 06 Supra 21V Malibu i Ride Moomba Mobius LSV (pre-redesign) My favorite wake out of all those is the X-Star, followed by our X1, but this is partially biased cause the X-Star was from the Boarding School which is dialed and we run a fair amount of weight in our X1. For interior space and best wake for stock ballast, you can't beat the 24SSV and the VLX for a close second.

Ive ridden behind the tige RZ2, the super air 210, 211, and 230, the xstar, supra 24SSV, Malibu VLX, 247LSV, 23LSV, VLX, VTX, and vride. I do not own but currently ride behind my friend's 07 tige RZ2. 1. Favorite boat was definitely the Malibu 247 LSV. The wake was so easy to get great pop, either wake to wake or into the flats. wake to wake landings are the smoothest ever! Super rampy but with a nice kick at the end, its obviously huge because the boat is almost 25ft. Chop doesnt seem to affect the wake at all. 2. Second place goes to the supra 24SSV. i rode behind ben greenwood's supra at the wakeboard camp and it was HUGE, nice and rampy, super solid. the only thing that makes the supra less than the malibu are the landings. Supra landings arent as cushy. Money no object i would own a 247 LSV no competition!

if I could own any boat it'd be an old style super air 210... 96-06 I think... stock ballast (800?lbs) wake plus 6 guys I loved it, best wake I've ever ridden... 2nd would have to be a SN 2001 loaded down with like 2000lbs, 3rd would prolly be a tossup between supra 22ssv with like 2k, centurian avalanche with like 1700+. 4th would be between an X-1, X-star and Malibu 23 lsv(gerry nunn) and 5th would be my boat, '99 Tige 2100i with any weight is fine for almost all my tricks... I had some good sets with about 1700 lbs in it and a driver... Not a boat conneseur by any means, I take what I can get

never owned a boat, but i've been known to ride a few boats here and there. of all the boats i've ridden behind, here are my faves: san 210 (old and new) - my favorite 'cause of the sick wake vlx (old and new) x-star (old (x-1/x-2) and new) honorable mention: sanger v210 if money was no object, i'd get a san 210. my family loves the boat, it's an established company that will be around for a long time, puts out a sick wake and the interior is sick and doesn't look cheap.

Funny, I think wake shape and firmness can be tweaked to be decent on most of the above boats. I would say my favorite would be the one that holds the most consistent speed HS and TS. I have ridden the exact same hull design and a slight misplacement of the paddle wheel for perfect pass will make a huge difference. So favorite boat is the one with a clean lip, good boot, and a consistent pull. Don't care what make.

Since $$ is an issue going with a 07 Bu Vride.

I am on my 4th wake boat. Have owned a 2000 Mobius LS (Basically a Ski boat), 2000 Tige 21v (Big Step up but no ballast), 2008 Tige Z1 (Very Nice wake and boat for the money), and just traded in on a 2008 Super Air 210 (Love everything about the boat). I have rode behind: All those listed above 2008 Tige RZ4(2,000 Lbs.) Wide Wake, but nice 2008 Tige 22Ve(3,000 Lbs.) Thought the boat lists over alot 2001 Tige 22i (Best wake ever in a DD) 2007 Supra 24SSV (Rode to fast at a competition to tell) 2004 Supra 22SSV (Hated it, little weight though) 2007 Malibu VLX (Huge Wake, Very Nice) 2007 Malibu VTX (Nice Wake, little smaller then VLX) 2004 Malibu 23LSV (Huge Wake, 4000 lbs in the boat) 2002 Super Air 210 (Awesome wake with much less weight) 2004 Super Air 226 (Nice but a little soft) 2005 Nautique SV-211 (Great crossover boat) 1995 Ski Nautique (learning to wakeboard) 2007 Centurion Air Warrior (Nice wake, much like the Tige's) My favorite wakes out of all of them would have to be the Nautiques, best being my new 210 because you can change it from steep to rampy with the gate even with 3000 lbs in the boat. Next up would have to be the Malibu 23LSV I get to ride it all the time in the summer. If I could have any boat I would still keep my Nautique. Malibu makes a nice boat and Tige is top quality. The Super Air just fits what I want/do better. Money is an issue and its tight making the payment on it though. For the money, if I was getting some used it would either be a Malibu VLX/LSV or older Super Air 210.

Ridden lots, liked some, others not so much. Hands down best wake ever was the 07' Hyperlite X-Star with ~4k ballast. So BIG (tall and wide I mean) you got soooo much pop and a nice long landing ramp. Awesome, made it effortless. Jumping wake-to-wake was never so much fun. Love my boat 03' X-2 and Love "Bucky", Uncle Jessie's wall of water.

I have only ridden behind a Cobalt 206. I would probably decline an offer to ride behind a wake specific boat, because I could afford EITHER a new X star, OR a divorce attorney, but not both.

Perfect shape & narly huge. Perfect boat for me? I love the V210, easy to tow, easy to weight, easy to drive & cheap to run. Build quality like an old school nautique, ie Bullet proof. Wake is a little on the steep side when really loaded down but still very ridable.

Hey Steve, how are you?! Let's see, like Evan, I have ridden behind almost everything, weighted well. We currently own an '06 V215, our best buddy owns a VLX and many friends own MC's (xstars, X1's and an X15). Of all the different wake shapes my sanger and the vlx are the top followed by the xstar. If money was no object I would still go with my V215 exactly as it is now with less hours...then either a VLX or Xstar fully loaded.

ridden behind just about every make model of wakeboat but if i had to pick just one i'd go with the VLX (the new '09 v-ride). after that i'd have to go with Andrea's sanger even tho i've never ridden behind it. hhahaha. everyone who rides behind their exact boat gets back in the boat with nothing but smiles...

DARREN AND JR You hear people talk about the 05+ VLX (09 VRide)hulls and how great they are, but you never hear them include which wedge type they like and I think that's equally important for this discussion: ...which one do you guys prefer? 1. Manual Wedge 2. Power Wedge 3. or NO Wedge at all

Justin, IMO: I personally like the manual wedge all the way down on the 05 the best. Was initially surprised by how different the power wedge was, but now love it at only one click up from all the way down.

Ryan, I'd recommend you checking out the Tige dealer in Stillwater. I visited them earlier this year and they had some awesome Tige's in stock. I'm still saving for a down payment for my next boat which will be a Z1 or RZ2. here's their link. http://www.h2osportsunlimited.com/

MC X-80 with twin engines and 10,000 lbs of ballast. I have never ridden behind it, but I am guessing it would be my favorite (as long as I wasn't paying for the gas bill).

The sanger V215 Has the best stock wake of all 21 ft boats, dont believe me, just go ride behind 1! It handles the best, and still throws a sik surf wake, w 1000lbs a ballast, And most of all, the boat rides like butter, even in heavy chop, try that w a flat bottom Malibu, or supra, you will be so sore you cant ride....Sanger has a true V-bottom boat that can still make a BA wake....

I thoroughly enjoy riding behind my 03 mobius LSV. I think any boat will throw a great wake, its just a matter of finding the right line length and speed. I've ridden behind a 2002 210, an earler year malibu wakesetter (d-drive), and a ton of i/o's and even outboards. Any inboard is a treat to ride behind.

Epic or Malibu Epic gives you everything you need, music, power, control and best of all 4000lbs of stock ballast. You can control it with the shape plate for how you like to ride, or the trick you're GOING to pull off. Malibu is just right for anything also, just doesn't come stock with the same power and ballast.

I have owned 3 boats. 92 Falcon Centurion 02 VLX 06 VLX Been behind tons of different boats. My favorite wake fully wieghted down is the Super Air 210. Huge, solid wake and the perfect width. Over all Wake and Boat, I would have to be for me the VLX. Tons of room for friends and the wake is sweet even without all the added weight. Never been behind a Malibu LSV 247. I like the room it has. Next boat hopefully will be a 2010 VLX or LSV.
