I find Malibu's nomenclature confusing. Is there a difference between a 2000 Malibu escape and a 2000 Malibu escape LSV?

Is there a source somewhere that lists all of these designations/descriptions. I don't want to keep asking stupid questions.

Regards,
Blueliner

I think the standard escape is a direct drive and the escape LSV is a V-drive

You would be better off asking these questions on The Malibu Crew, as it's a website with a lot of members and Malibu oriented.

Here is the resources page that can help with some of your questions:

http://www.themalibucrew.com/forums/...pecs/2000.html

Escape was only sold in 2000. It was renamed the Wakesetter LSV and Sunscape 23 LSV in 2001 (same V25 Diamond hull). There is no standard Escape. There is either the Escape Luxury Sport V (LSV) or the Escape Wake. The differences between the LSV and Wakesetter:
- Different Gel schemes
- Standard center ballast in the Wakesetter (optional in LSV)
- Standard docking lights in the LSV (optional in Wakesetter)
- Standard wedge on the Wakesetter (optional on the LSV)

Tower is actually optional on both, though probably always ordered on the Wakesetter. So other than gel/graphics, the LSV and Wakesetter versions can be identical depending on how they were optioned.
