I sold my boat last week and I'm trying to figure out what I want next. the MB 23TWB is high on my list, but I can't come up with colors that really work for me. I know I want the classic gel pattern and I want to avoid dark colors since I ride on the river and it would be prone to scratches. Any one want to play with their design a boat and post up some options?

This...

Notice the black is only in the areas that won't be affected by debris.

Have you thought about the F24 that is coming out soon? If your already at 23TWB prices, you might want to inquire about it.

I don't think I want a 24' boat.

I guess if the black is above the water line for the most part it wont be so bad. Still not sure if I'm up for the maintenance though.

You should start a MC vs. MB thread.

I know you're dead set on an MB, but have you considered the quality, value, and performance of an MB instead?

Please don't ruin this thread Chattwake. I can start another thread and you can bash on everything but Axis in it, but PLEASE, leave this one alone.

^^^ I used to have an all white MB TWB 21. As Chatt suggested above, I even powdercoated the tower white. It was cool, but after a while I got bored of all white. That's not saying much... I get bored of stuff easily.

But it was sharp and upkeep was a snap. Here's a look since the build tool often doesn't look like real life.

FYI, if you haven't ordered your boat already, you're not going to get a 2012. Production is sold out. So, you may want to contact MB and ask about the 2013 options and colors. There are some nice upgrades coming:-)

I was wondering about that. I hope of the upgrades is not price. Care to PM me what you know?

Just call MB or a local dealer for details. I don't want to start rumors or say anything I'm not supposed to.

Maybe it's just the fact that boats look better in person than the "build a boat", but I think I've going with this one from the brochure.

Old     (SkySki)      Join Date: Feb 2010       03-13-2012, 9:34 PM Reply
If you decide to go with a white as a main color, think about asking for a white rub rail. So glad I did.

Mike B will likely do any graphic you want and I am digging this BU pattern so I am wondering if a variation on this would look cool and still remain fairly timeless.

Jeff at Aqua Sports Marine in Fenton has one pretty much just like that in his current inventory. The blue flake is really sweet. Pictures do not do it justice.

Joe,

Check out the Facebook page for Aqua Sports Marine. Jeff had that boat at the Detroit boat show and got some great pictures. Very, very nice color combo. If my boat were sold (2006 Sunsetter LXI), I would be seriously considering the black and blue flake 23 TWB.

That blue looks a different color in every picture. Can you look at the pictures and post one here that you think shows what the color looks like in real life?

Thanks for all your help. I think the last one is what I'm going with. Seeing the picture from the design a boat did not do anything for me, but once I saw a picture of the actual boat I knew that it was the one for me. I'm still going over options for the interior. I'm trying to balance looks, temperature in the sun, and ease of keeping it clean with my two boys.

Hi Hunter,
Nice looking color combo. That must have been you that called yesterday asking about the colors of our boat. This boat got many compliments at our boat show.

Hi Ian,
The show went great! It was really nice having Mike Brendel there to help introduce the MB's to our area. Are you going to upgrade your 23 to the new 24?
Old     (wakereviews)      Join Date: Sep 2006       03-21-2012, 12:39 PM Reply
yep, the 23 is already gone... just waiting to see the gel options before I put in the order!
