this weekend i will be heading out with a different group, but they aren't really that setup for wakeboarding (ski boat, no tower, no boards at all so i figure no line). couple questions:

- how much does not having a tower really affect the amount of height you can get? or anything else? only been behind a tower before . . .

- need to get a rope and handle combo quick. did a quick search, and it seems like the accurate lines and handles are pretty good. any comments on the premier handle? i was looking for a non-carbon fiber handle that is very comfortable. i cant get to a local shop before i head out unfortunately.

thanks in advance.

the premier handle is very good. I'm not really into those carbon handles either. Proline also has some good handles.

thanks - any idea where the best online place is to buy? i noticed wakeside has the best line prices, but doesn't have any real selection of handles.

I went out with a friend of mine the other day behind her dads old blue water. Definatly not a wakeboard boat. No tower, smallest wake ive ever seen, and a rope/handle that had to be 10 years old and the handle was like 2 times smaller than usuall. But i made the best of it doing surface tricks and just goin W2W with some grabs. They were pretty impressed, which shows they havent seen too many wakeboarders. lol But just have fun, work on surface tricks and stuff like that. Maybe teach other people on the boat how to ride.

Have fun!

I really liked the whole idea behind Wakeside's point system. I ordered Encore from them and it took nearly 2 weeks to get here, maybe even more, I just can't remember. I told my friend at the local shop about it and he said he would have matched the price and I could have had it right away. If you're willing to wait for Wakeside, I'd recommend just going to your local shop and talking to them about the handle.
