This sounds like a really cool event that is being hosted on March 8th. In the morning everyone will go wakeboarding and then later that day go to Appalachian to go snowboarding. The cost is $65.00, and will be used to fund the Wake the Lake event that is held for Local Children's Homes across NC.

Hey Brooke, thanks for posting. I can't wait till next weekend. I believe it's going to be a blast! We also have a band to play for us that night. (Kelsey has New Shoes) The air temperature is supposed to be around 67 and the water is currently 63.

They are now calling for 74 degrees on Sunday! I can't wait to get this season started!

Most likely at Carolina Marina. I should know tomorrow. The forecast is now for 77! I think I will leave my wetsuit in the truck!

Pretty cool to have a silly idea turn into something cool & worthwhile. We ended up raising a little over $1000 to benefit the Children's Homes.

I say, "Let's do this next year, nation wide, raise lots of money for lots of children's homes, set a new record and have fun doing it."

We need some west riders to step up and take this to next level. I only had a month to put this together. I know with a year of planning, all of us can pull together do something amazing!
