What do you use to wipedown after a session?

I use a mixture of water and vinegar. Probably 4 parts water to 1 part vinegar. It's cheap, and works like a champ, but I know it strips away the wax. Is there anything that compares, that may not strip the wax?

babe's boat bright, works great and if you buy in the gallon it is not that expensive.

i just use a towel and then cleaner wax a few times a summer.

We just usually use some towels. Not sure if it is good or not but seems to work along with a good waxing mid season.

As a detailer, and boat owner, I have used many, including Babes, vinegar/water, etc. Thought they worked good until I tried Hot Sauce, from Boat Bling. I can't believe this stuff. I am getting ready to order it in a larger quantity. It works way better that the others, PLUS it contains a polymer-type wax and silicone, so you are also applying a decent coat while wiping down. Saves having to do it as a seperate step. I have used it on windows, and it works great there too. Not affiliated in any way. Just love the Hot Sauce, and have started using most of their other products also.

Babe's boat bright! Hands down best product on the market. I ordered it from bakesonline.com last week.

I've been using Babes and really like it but after Buzz's testimonial I may give hot sauce a try.

Kinda funny the babe's products are actually more expensive on the bakes website than if you buy directly from babe's online.

I use both Babe's boat bright and Slick Mist. I prefer the finish left by the Slick Mist a bit more

I add a tablespoon of liquid wax to the water and vinegar and that seems to help with the smell and puts a little wax back on each time. Not as good as waxing it, though.

I then use 303 about every 3rd time out and have been pretty pleased with that process. I have some babe's samples and will be giving that a try for a few runs.

Boat Bling's Hot Sauce is easy to use, gives fantastic results, and leaves my boat looking new after just a couple minutes of work. I can't imagine it being easier or working better!

In a 16oz bottle, put in 2oz Zip Wax or similar, fill in rest with white vinegar. Works great and is cheap.

Acids do not strip waxes, bases do. Also, friction will strip the wax. Use cotton T-shirt material for the wipe down.

Just use liquid wax.

Water/Vinegar to dry and get off water spots. I then use the Dollar Store Lemon scented pledge with a micro fiber cloth to polish/shine. Learned this process from someone in the past. I am happy with the results.

Babe's Boat Bright! The more you use it the fewer water spots, and the harder it is for stuff to stick to your gelcoat. Great Stuff!

I will bring you some at Shasta. I have some more on order, but may be ordering either a gallon or possibly 5 gallons by then. Either way, I will bring some along. Maybe some of the condition sauce also.

You may want to check and see if they have dealers in your area. I know they have a couple in mine. Then shipping is not an issue. Shipping is never cheap on chemicals/liquids. I was going to get a gallon of 303 once, but shipping costs stopped me too. Ended up getting it locally.

It first appeared to me that you could only get it from them online. Thanks for all of your input, it seems to be exactly what I've been looking for.

Love the babes! maybe its just the great smell. I use all their products, and buy it by the gallon.

Anything YOU think works good for you, IS good. I just happen to find something once in a while that I like MUCH better than others, at least for me.

So do you dry the boat off then run Babe's afterwards? Guess it's the only way that makes sense.

Wax as you dry works pretty dang well. Cuts spots and leaves a fresh waxed feel.

+1 for Wax As You Dry. Works better than anything out there, and doesn't smell like a feminine product of any kind.

Shawn, you actually spray as you go! Works great on everything, and keeps my black sections look new!

I’ve been doing this for years. I will hand wax the boat a couple times a year.
I used a can of Pledge furniture polish after I wipe down the boat. It will help the shine and hide minor scratches.

Well I hope you're not in a hurry for the boat bling products, he takes a week to ship them out, then another week to get them to you.

Boat Bling is great, got it from the boat show the first time, re-ordered and received it in three days!
