Jeff,
We got like 2" down here in Murrieta as well.

This is crazy!!!!!!
Yesterday I was wakeboarding in 75 degree weather then this!!!

Ill be curious to see what the snow level looks like in the San Bern. Mountains when the weather clears out of here.

That's awesome!

This is some weird weather. We were supposed to ride Mission Bay this morning but we woke up to a nice thunderstorm with white cap producing winds. I just got home from some errands and the bay was an absolute mirror at 10AM! What's up with that? Oh well, whoever wants to ride in some nice bacteria could be really happy right now.

I left my house for work this morning using 4 wheel drive! I live in Yucaipa at about 1800'???

It was sureal to see the intersection of Yucaipa blvd and Oak Glen rd completely covered in snow (about an inch on the pavement). I wish I had a camera with me. My wife took pictures of our house and neighborhood so I will see those tomorrow when I get home.

Jeff,

Did the snow ever stick on the streets? My wife said we ended up with approximately 2" on our streets. Snow plow in the track home development... That would be a trip!

Guys, pardon my lack of knowledge of California, but how far south are you guys? Obviously you are far south enough where the snow is not what you are used to....what is the southernmost part of CA where snow is commonplace?? Anyway, seeing the snow brings back memories, I lived for about 18 years in Connecticut before moving to Orlando to avoid the very topic of this thread!!

Scott, We are about 45 miles north of San Diego. But we are also only at 1100 or so feet. In my 35 years I have never seen snow far at this altitude and as mich as it did. Usually the lowest snow will far is about 4000 feet down here in SoCal.

I took my kids to the snow at Vail Lake of all places. They went sleding in about 4" of snow at VAIL LAKE. Crazy!!!!

I will post pics soon.

Sean, How is the Knee?

Here are the pictures from Murrieta/Temecula. Mind you it was sunny and 75 degrees yesterday. Now its snowing and 38.

The picture with the snow filled mountains is of Lower Palomar Mountain and at the base of that is Vail Lake.

There is snow on the ground where we ride before Thanksgiving? I thought this happened in Canada not SoCal.

Well... It (my knee) was doing great until about a month ago.

Following completion of 5 months of physical therapy I hadn't exercised for about 1 1/2 weeks and my leg became sore and tight after a moderate workout (to be expected). The next day while I was walking I felt a little tweek, and ever since then it swells up even after only 10 minutes of spinning on my bike.

I'm sure the ACL is still ok, I'm pretty sure it is something with the meniscus. I experience some pain only when there is a heavy load (like my fat ass) on it or impact such as running. I have an appointment with the ortho physician on Dec 3rd so we'll see.

Sorry for the highjack Jeff. Great pictures, thanks for sharing.

LOL. Are you serious? Move to Nebraska, this is what we call normal. :-) No seriously, we get this crap all the time. It sucks.

For those of you who aren't familiar with SoCal, this is not normal. In my 38 years of residency in this region, this is the first time that I can recall it snowing in my neighborhood, snow sticking.

Sean - really sorry to hear about the knee setback. FYI - you know the story behind my knee, every once in a while it stings like that, but I always seem to get past it. I know this is something that won't stop you.

Wakeman,
Move to Nebraska you say.

I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.
Just Kidding.

I was out in Nebraska on business 2 weeks ago. I was in Omaha and Lincoln. I thought it was actually quite pretty and it wasn't as flat as I had imagined. Beautiful rolling hills some beautiful houses. Nothing to do at night but go to Iowa and play poker at Harrahs, But I like Poker so it was all good

Watch out for the tornados.

That is cool IS the storm moving north to SF It is getting cold up here. Man that is weird for snow like that. I saw it once for 10 min. over the grape vine. But that was it. Frozen sunshine

I like Jared's idea, I'd definitely be down for that.

Jared, Jeff, Shawn - I'm down for that too!

Hairbanddude - Am I ever gonna get to ride behind your boat? It's like it's not meant to be.

This snow fall was crazy. My first time seeing it snow is in SoCal at 1100 feet, go figure.

Thane when you said it was snowing, I thought you were joking.

I actually might be going to Mammoth this weekend.

It was funny, but it was NO joke.

Jeff I'm up for it as well. I think we need to include a little surfing in there as well. You know, complete it properly. And to think that Jared & I were riding most of Saturday.

Glen.
Im down for this weekend. I can even take my boat out as well if we need it. ( filming??) I was out at our lake this last weekend and there was nobody there, and the water level has come up a little bit.
I was even thinking of going out Thursday (Thanksgiving) morning for a couple of hours. 8-11 or so. Let me know if any body is up for that.
Late Erik

I'm down with the plan, but the lake is closed till further notice (bacteria levels from the rain run off). Probably just as well, I really need to hit the gym before I could really call what I do out there riding. Soon my bruthas, soon...
