You wont have any problem finding the party on Shasta over Mem Day. They are usually at Ski or Slaughter House Island. Just look for the huge floatilla around Bridge Bay on Saturday. We'll be there three houseboats deep this year. Can't wait. It's my favorite houseboat trip of the year. Been going there for Mem Day 15 plus years.

We'll be houseboating up there June 5-12th. We're going out of Shasta Marina. I'll have the Blue X30. If anyone is up there the last half of the week, stop in for some margaritas! The first few nights will be 'quiet' time with various parents and family.

shasta is at 3.78 feet from the top. current release at the dam is 44,000 cubic feet per second. they are trying to make room in the lake for a storm that is suppose to drop alot of water. current water temp 60 degrees. suppose to be the last big storm of this winter. 60 degree air temp today..... predicting 92 degrees on sunday and there after. have fun.

Shasta will be insane. All of UC Davis and some of Oregon go out there with a million houseboats. Greek houses, sports teams, clubs, any and every organization as well as just houseboats full of independant people come. I've been looking forward to this for the whole school quarter.

Weather for this weekend looks great. Can't wait to get up there. Seems like its been a long time. This will be my first trip for the year. Normally, we've been three or more times by now. However, bad weather and tons of other matters have kept us home.

They have first come first serve spots on the west side of Lakehead, other than that your going to be hard pressed to find a campsite. You can always make your own.
