Ive ridden the

Timmy K (Kovacich), the McGuckin and the Doyle...

I really liked Timmys board, The edges and tips are really flattened off, but they are still weighted to make it easy to rotate.

McGuckins board is comparable to the Urban, it just dosnt have the fiberglass base. I rode it all last season, ended up with one crack. Whcih is good for me. Its an easy to ride board.

Ive ridden the Doyle a few times, its fast and stiff. I got good pop from it. Same as Impalla but different size and grip.

Connpr,

I've rode all those skates... the original clear grip that went out with the first pressed boards wasn't very good... but they have produced better grip tape...

personaly out of all the skates.... I like the doyle and the impala... they have an amazing shape and weight... I personaly ride the Doyle as my number one skate, it is constructed very well... PBT base and top for durability on rails and for added weight... i really like the top concave shape, there is lots of foot room for those big footed riders.... Plus they are compressed molded to last and take the regular beatings some riders put there skates through!

out of the wood skates, I would personally go with the Drew ... his new shape is very well done... much wider than previous years... the nose and tail are quite abit wider than the other shapes like the urban and tim... The Tim is pretty much a w2w skate in my opinion... it has flat tip and tails with a very pronounced concave in the middle.... I would personally look at the Drew, impala or doyle...

hope I could be some kind of help... if you have anymore questions feel free to email me at evan_park00@hotmail.com

by the way... Danny T.

the Impalla is the same size as the doyle... they are made in the same press... plus the Doyle has a stiffer foam core and has PBT base and top.... also like you said, a different foam top....
