Picked up a polk momo 10'' sub in a nautique box out of the classifieds. Unused, but I don't have the factory instructions. I think it can handle 300 Watts RMS @ 4 ohms. Wondering what I should use to power it? Don't know too much about audio, but been looking at kicker cause they seem well liked. I just have the factory 4 speaker system, which is fine for now. I've looked at the following 2 amps, the 2nd one is over 300 watts, but figured I really wouldn't get the max watts out of the amp in a real world scenario.

Kicker ZX500.1 250 Watts @ 4 ohms
Kicker ZX750.1 375 Watts @ 4 ohms

Thoughts?

Choice two is good or you could spend a few more bucks and get the ZX550.2 run it bridged and show the sub 550 watts. Those amps either come with or for cheap you can ad a sub control which is total plug and play. This will allow you to control how hard you push the sub. You'll be better off showing the sub more watts than barely enough. My sub is 600 RMS 3000 MAX and I run it with a 1200 watt amp.

Todd-

Of the three amps discussed, the ZX750.1 is the best choice. Class D, efficient, and comes with a remote bass knob, as Hate suggests. The 550.2 will work as Hate suggests, but the 750.1 is designed as a dedicated sub amp.

Phil, While you are here...lol...What would be the difference other than the AB classification? It does have the same x over controls as a mono sub amp yes? Is it just the efficiency? This is just for my own personal knowledge and you spell things out in plain english very well.

Efficiency, yes. In theory, for similar power output, it will run cooler and draw less current.

In theory that gives you a longer play time 'til the battery goes Kaput... :-)
