I have been riding since 1989 and I am looking for a new board. The problem is that I am 6 foot tall and I weigh 160 lbs. Because of my height I need a bigger board but with my weight I need a smaller board. I also wear a size 10 in womens shoe which doesnt help at all.
Any suggestions on a board that would cover all of my needs?

I'd probably go for a 136-138 ish size (if i'm figuring out all the non metric measurements properly!) being that tall you'll struggle on something shorter i think, regardless of how much you weigh.

as for which board, it will depend so much on how you like to ride. I ride a PS3 which i love, because i like to ride wake to wake with lots of pop and soft landings! If you prefer a fast board and landing into the flats then you'll be looking for something else....
give us some more info about what you like, and what you're riding now and I'm sure people will have some good suggestions for you.

the ronix coy 137 i think would be good for your specs(but it really boils down to your riding style as well) i enjoy free ride and trying...emphasize trying to get as much air as possible;0)
i just got the 132 coy and love love it. i had acl surgery couple of months ago and have been riding the syn it was super unforgiving on the landings on my knees. the coy is super light and seems to have some cushion on the landings. the other thing that i like is it rides higher in the water as well, and for me living in hawaii with trade winds its nicer because we rarely have 'perfect riding conditions' per say. so even in slightly choppy water i find it performs better to my likings. not to forget mentioning it has a pretty sweet pop off the wake too. just my 2 cent. oh yeah and ronix ROCKS....LOL

CWB sapphire is a really fun board! Its very forgiving, and very smooth! It has a mellow edge, but its very light, so it still gets you flying! haha. If you can, try to demo the coy or the sapphire. I'm sure you'll be happy! :]

You can go with the dahlia... its a 134 but is a little wider so it works well with height and weight differences. I ride it and I like it a lot. If you are interested in one PM me..

A big part of this is your trick list and ability. Mike Ferraro and I had a long discussion on this last Sept at Expo. Most people ride better with bigger boards and almost all intermediate riders need a larger board. Larger sweet spot and you have more speed with less effort as well as bigger platform that aids in stability. I was very lucky to work with Mike at his wake/ski school for years and have been lucky to coach myself for the last 25 years. Being tall presents more challenges and my personal opinion would be try larger sizes from your local shop or buy from a shop that has a written performance guarantee so you can trade back if your not happy. Most internet only shops will not do this. The best shops have riders on site and demos and pros doing clinics like the liquid force clinics. Let us know how it works out. This is what is great about WakeWorld. We can help each other.
