No. I don't live on a lake, but have always wanted to. I'm looking into developing some waterfront property in Utah. It's my dream to have my own dock.. One day.. Until then lets see your house on the lake.

This is our cabin on Deer Lake, WA, which is 30 min. from home, very convenient for weekday evening pulls. The boat has been replaced with an '06 X-1, which is now rotated bow out by the way :-), (no pics yet).

I hate you guys all..... LOL. Nice places. That's my dream, unfortunately the commute related to living on the water just isn't in the cards right now. Is 27 too young to retire?
Old     (bbeach)      Join Date: Jul 2002       10-05-2006, 8:23 AM Reply
CIE - you can retire at 27, you need to marry a rich woman! I recommend a doctor... For three reasons...
1.) She makes a lot of money!
2.) She's works a lot and isn't around to hassle you for spending too much time on the lake!
3.) If you get hurt on the water, you're taken care of!

Kstate, that's funny. I actually married the next best thing to a doctor..... An accountant. At quarter ends she works 70 hour weeks, and in between she spends a lot of time flying all over the country teaching/attending training seminars. We've alreayd joked that I'll be the stay at home dad if we ever have kids.

Insuranceman...come on up to Grand, it is down some, but still has several fine spots if you can get out of the wind. Our cove was butter this morning, but I had to go to work. If I would stop messing around on this computer and get things done I might get home in time to use it this evening.

Kstate...nothing wrong with the Malibu picture...I was just curious, thats all. Come down to Grand Lake sometime if you want to spend some time in or behind one (although I may winterize it after this weekend). I have three sister-in-laws in Ozark and make the drive all the time. Its only 2 easy hours away.

Thanks guys. I wish I could say its mine, but I can't! Although I do spend a lot of time there its all my parents. I live in a townhouse with no yard on the other side of D.C. So its a nice place to visit on the weekends, if you can imagine.

Thats a lamp in the corner, not a UFO, lol, picture was taken at the end of the dock. It is a boat house on the bottom right. 3 guys cut the grass on riding mowers takes them a little while to do it.

Do you go out to the Butler Chain much? I don't care for it much any more....hard to find smooth water with all the jet ski's and tubers...

Evan, were doing great, enjoying living on the lake, Eddy/Beer will be moving in soon. It's really cool that the only residents on the lakes are wakeboarders. The lake usage is still very minimal. We also bought property on Lake Cherokee in Tennessee. I know what your think, cold, public vs warm, private. Justin is 22 and @ 46+ my knees are shot and I don't know how much longer I'll be able to ride. I'm still doing backrolls and big grabs and 180's. I'm still a kid at heart and want to learn more but everytime I try something, my knees and body tell me otherwise. I'm very lucky because I've be able to do the things I've loved for as long as I have (extreme sports, barefooting, slalom, jumping, trick skiing, wakeboarding, snow boarding/skiing) since I was 13 years old, wow, 33 years, man I'm getting old. My body tells me that everytime I go riding. We went out last night after work and knee and neck are killing me today. I'll be riding again both Saturday and Sunday.

Isaiah's Run, somewhere in Missouri

Not mine, but one of my best friend's parents and where I train. This is just their boat house, it's about a 1/2 mile down some farm road on their land from their house. Very nice.
