New Board????

I have been boarding for one year know and think it is time to upgrade. Currently have a ebay special "Assault". It has one removable fin. I have narrowed it down to 2 boards, I think. Both Liquid Force- Trip 142 + Substance 142. I am 6'1" 240lbs. Am wondering if you think I am better to get something with 2 molded fine on each side? Or any other suggestion???

Im 6'2 200 and try to ride as big as I can for boards.... I think you definately need an upgrade if your riding a board with one removable fin. Now is the time to buy especially on ebay because the season is pretty much over and stuff is cheap. let me just recommend you look at the hyperlite 3ds 143 or era 147. They go super cheap and are great boards!!! If you like Liquid force I know the Team 143 and Omega 143 both go cheap and are great boards from 2 different ends of the spectrum. Also all these boards would be great for your height and weight. let me know if you need help.

I did look at the Team 143 but was not sure if I would be happy with the removable fins. I was wondering if the molded in fins would give me more stability since they are longer. The removable fins do appear to be taller though.

If you want a great board for a bigger guy, try the CWB Faction 144. It has great pop, is very consistent and has super soft landings!
