Entrust - look at picture 14. The seat back behind the drivers seat can now be up or down.

Although the bunching up of the seat cover when it is up does not look too sharp.

Entrust- Looks like the seat back is still there. Or so it looks like it in the pics. Did you see one without the seat back?

I heard that they redesigned the hull this year? It doesn't look like it from those pics. There are some areas that look slightly different, but no big changes. Which I am glad about, the hull performs great. A little weight sensitive, but it lays down a fat wake! What changes did they make to it, if they made any changes at all. Is the bottom different. The profile of the boat doesn't look like there are any changes to the bottom.

Love the video of it on www.islandmarine.net

yes i know it has the tilt up seat but i like the fixed seat back better, i used that storage for the garbage bag, it works out well

the hull is the same, just a new top deck

No, the hull is not the same. They added a few lifting strakes to it and some other minor things.

Manzo I was being a smart ass I like Moomba's alot and get tired of the BS that they just are a crap boat. I am heading to my dealer today to look at an 07 Outback V. The new boats are sweet wish I could afford to go with the lsv but this will be our first boat and our twins just turned 1. Gotta gettem on the water EARLY. Message boards messages don't always come across the way you want them too.

Entrust,

While the hull is mostly the same they have added lifting strikes so it is a different hull by definition. Looking at it you probably would not notice any changes. These minor changes make a big difference in performance.

thats what I figured. Sweet looking boat. Any new options that they have added this year? We know that the rear facing seat behind the driver is now adjustable. Anyone got any other details about this years line up? Cant wait to see the XLV in person

This years line up it awesome! Besides the looks they addressed some of the customers comments on here. They changed the back swim platform since some of the old ones left black marks I hear. They also put in a duel fuel pump to avoid any vapor lock. Added courtesy lighting, stronger shocks and supports everywhere. They offer a 6.0 409hp engine. Kicker audio, Duel dens foam padding. Better int materials. The XLV did change..top and bottom. The lower part of the hull now lifts the front so not to run heavy. SO much more also!

The GG ed now has more ballast. Better trailer. LED'S in various areas in boat. OH YA and they changed the warranty from 3 to 4 years on the power train! Thats all I remember right now but its ALOT!

I have one of the original XLV's, 2004 and I've been loving it ever since I got it!! It really is one incredible boat. Size, comfort and performance. It throws one of the best wakes out there. I put my boat up against all the others and it ceases to stop amazing guys who ride other brands. To quote one of my friends who absolutely loves the wake "This boat was designed by wakeboarders for wakeboarders!"

I would love to get my hands on one of the new ones, but I've put alot into the system in my boat. If any of you are looking for some good install ideas for a system in the XLV let me know. I took the space and layout of the XLV and designed my system around it.

if you're looking at an Outback V...I would seriously consider stepping it up the LSV...it puts out a KILLER wake...even without ballast...and i think it's around a foot longer than the V.

we love our LSV...GO FOR THE VDRIVE

Does anyone know if Kicker will be offering the sub as well? If so, is it in an enclosure or a free air set up like the past?

FINNNNAALLLYYY....supra goes a lil more edgey!!! I'm loving the new design's!!!

nice work SC!!!

The sub is Kicker and appears to be in the floor just like the last models as a free air set up. I had mine closed off inside the floor and dynomatted. When it hits it will massage your back with vibration.

If moombas are really good, then what is a Supra like?

Nice work by Rick and the folks at SC!

I love that they're pushing the Moomba line further and further every year.

Now if they'd just narrow the hull on the 20ssv by about six inches I'd be back in one of their boats. Sadly, I doubt that's ever going to happen.

That G games edition boat is just plain sick. LOve that G behind the Moomba Not so crazy abot the huge XLV but hey could probably be taken off Still love the way Supra and Moomba have gone. u can't beat what you get for your money dollar for dollar in my opinion. Also some great looking boats with just enough bling

Those are sharp boats. I like the XLV across the back. If any designers are out there, you need to consider redesigning your towers. I was set to buy a new 2005 model a few years ago until I realized that the boat would not fit into my garage after tower was collapsed. Where the tower attaches should be lowered at least four inches. Just a friendly suggestion.
Old     (jon_a)      Join Date: Feb 2003       09-08-2007, 9:08 AM Reply
For 2008, all Moombas and Supras are supposed to sit 3-4 inches lower on the trailer than in the past. Issue solved.
Old     (kraig)      Join Date: Dec 2002       09-08-2007, 9:17 AM Reply
Interesting info Jon. Definitely an advantage for getting in the garage but I also see a big advantage for getting the boat on and off the trailer on steeper or shallow ramps.

Jon

I know Rick said the trailer sits lower but I overheard Owen from Boatmate say that it was just one model that was changed. SO I think we should should get the published hight #'s

I don't know why moombas are considered "budget" boats. lets face it if your buying a brand new wakeboarding boat from any brand you can't really be all that short on cash.

anyone know if anything changed with the 22?
Old     (jon_a)      Join Date: Feb 2003       09-10-2007, 7:07 PM Reply
Nothing major on the 22. A rudder change and a very slight change in the hull for better performance and handling. No other changes besides the changes that a across the board (which is a lot of small things).
