I drew up these quick plans yesterday and plan on building it on Saturday. Let me know what you think.

nice looking plans! looks pretty sweet, i myself would prefer a flat bar then an incline rail

Nice, I built an almost exact slider a couple of weeks ago....but after hitting it twice I wanted it longer. The reason being after you olly onto it you only will slide about 5-6 feet. Which feels like a split second of slide time. Build it so you can add sections on after you get comfortable on the previous length. Have fun!

Chris is right. 10 ft by the time you ole up will not be very long. It will be more like a touch and go then a slide. Great plans just add about 12 feet of flat at the top and you would be fine.

Do you think I am better off building it like this. I am kind of limited to my size so I have a way to get it back and forth to the lake on my truck. Do you suggest having it at an incline to it can be a ramp to or go with the second design? Thanks for all the input.

Uploadi built this one and its to tall by the time you get to the top you might fly over it and never hit the flat

IT IS 2'-6". SO YOU ARE SAYING I AM GONNA NEED MORE THAN 4' ON INCLINE?

i would make it as long as possible, if you want to actually slide on it...

20 mph = 30 feet per second. 10 ft @ 20 mph = a very short ride.

like they say longer is better, so yes more then 4 feet would be good

with the angle of the ramp you might be air born over the top. also make sure at 4' wide it won't tip over.here is a pic of the one we just built for our rail jam next week. Upload

So saturday i built it in about 2.5 hours. Ibuilt the first one(the incline). worked out really well. It is short but it fits in my truck perfextly. I also built it slightly different then on the plans. I will take some pictures real soon and put them up. it ended up being really lite weight. i can pick it up myself, and it is slightly over 4' wide. No tipping over either! Thanks for all your input. If anyone wants plans for it I will redo them to match and I can e-mail them to you. Just let me know
