Which way is up? Unfortunately, it would take a helicopter to get a boat to this lake, but it sure would be nice.

My buddy just got back form Lake Britten at Burney Falls National Park, East of Shasta. I am jealous. The bad thing about these pics are, he couldn't get people up to ride with him. (Message edited by dave27 on August 22, 2005)

Here's my situation, Private Man Made Lake, soon to be 2 with no gators in Florida, ride 12 months a year with glass conditions every day with no backwash from sharp harsh shorelines, not as beautiful as some of those northern lakes but water conditions that are condusive to trying any new trick at any time, not when you can find some clean smooth conditions

Mango, the lake is between 14' and 15' deep in the middle to allow nice fat wakes for wakeboarding

Jarrod, Lake # 2 near completion, trench in middle has 6' of water and is 130' wide already, as soon as the south end is complete, we'll open up a large well to help finish filling it

Keep us updated on those pics. That's awesome that you have land to make your own lakes. Nice work.

That man-made lake is crazy!! How long is it, and how do you ever go about designing and building it??

Lake depth will be between 14' and 15' feet, lenght is 2300' If you look at the west lake tread above, you see that lake is much wider cause it's full, the south end is an extra 100' wider for double ups. Details on how to build it take a lot more room than what's I can put on this page. I can tell you that it takes a lot longer than you'd like it too

Tennessee is definitely where it is at. My family regularly visits Dale Hollow which has miles and miles of butter. However here is one from a private lake here in Indiana:

TN lakes are great, but watch out for the sticks in the water. One of them sent me to the Knoxville hospital for 3 days. Midwestrider, what private lake is that in Indiana? I'm in Indy as well.

Hey Ben, it is not a named private lake. A buddy of mine's dad owns property out in some gravel strip pits south of Terre Haute. That pic is a pic of a 100 acre lake on his property. There are several small lakes around his property and they are working on dredging them out to connect them all together for one super nice private lake. These are not even a mile from the Wabash so they are all spring fed through the gravel. The water clarity is incredible. Jb
