Check the for sale section. I listed a Hyperlite Belmont 128Cm that would be great for $50. I will ship for actual cost.

Trevor My daughter has rode the LF Star for about 4 years now. She is almost 10 and 77 pounds. The star is the same board as the nemisis but with girl graphics. The board is light and holds up well. She rides the Wing CT as she has a VERY large foot for her age womens 7. I'm not sure on the boys side but the girls have a very good entry level boot called the Prima. I have seen these set ups for around $290. Hope this helps

I have a 2007 Nemesis 118 that has never been in the water that I would be willing to part with. Check my profile and email me if your interested.

I just picked up a brand new 2006 HL Motive from Grizzly-Sports for my son last week. I got it for $126 shipped.

I picked up the CWB Charger, I believe 119 for my niece and nephew, it game with cwb boots that I can't remember the name of. They have hingetech bindings, and are super comfortable and easy for the kids. The kids are around the same age/size as your son.

regardless, I don't think the board will matter that much. The fact that he'll be out on his own board will make him feel awesome.

hinge boots without a doubt. Especially for the kids. Those who don't recommend them, have never tried them. My kids stopped complaining in the water.

Go as small as you can... My son was on the 119 for two years before going to the 109 HL motive & he had much better control and progressed faster once he made the change at age 9.
