My buddy has a 2003 X10 with this exact same problem. In our case, 99% of the problem is caused by not enough weight in the front of the boat. There's nothing you can do about the paddlewheel placement, so you are always going to get the ridiculous acceleration through certain turns. One thing to keep in mind; you can always "help" the Perfect Pass. It's built to allow a certain amount of manual throttle input. When I drive the X10, I always back off when it tries to pin it in turns. We ride on a winding river, and I can drive a pretty perfect run this way. I bet anything, with A LOT more weight in the front (or a lot less in the back), and a little manual help from the driver, the boat will be perfect.
