Learn me about ropes

My wake rope is too short and not so smooth going thru my fingers if the driver circles around too fast, I have learned to put it on the end of my board for friction and that helps but I really just need a better quality rope that is the right length

So 12 strand or 24 strand Dyneema??? what is this?? I have used a rope that wasn't coated with plastic but was very smooth on the hands, is this the 24strand??It had a much tighter outer weave than my current rope which seems like regular static kernmantle rope by Straightline my bro got me for about $75 with handle

Also are these better than the coated ropes??

I probably will go with a new handle to, so for a beg to intermediate rider at about 70-75' whats a good rope/handle combo out there, or if nothing else whats a good quality rope to use for years to come.

For reference I don't plan on using a ropewinder and go about once a week April thru November.

There's a sick deal on the LG package on wakeside right now, rope and handle for 71 I think. Free shipping too. I've heard the rope isn't the best, but I don't have any experience with it so I can't say for sure. But the LG is MONEY! Should be about perfect for you

I second the LG. I never thought I would be picky enough to miss my LG, but after riding behind other boats using other peoples quality wakeboard ropes, I really miss my LG. The line is fine too, never had any problems with that.

accurate makes some of the best ropes in the buissness imo. The a line is coated and 80ft with the spectra core I think and the (urathane) that they use is very pliable. This translates into the rope being very easy on the hands and it rolls up very well and doesn't tangle that easily. Another benifit is that some of the coated lines that I have seen use a stiffer coating that can eventually crack as soon as this happens the rope becomes a hazzard to all who use it cause the shards of coating get stuck in your hand and then break off. I have experianced this with Straight Line coated ropes and then used and hated the quality of the gator and helium ropes coated or not. Ronix makes thier ropes in the same factory as accurate and they are essentially the same thing with different labels.. oh and they label the ropes well and give you the length including the handle. sweet.
