As of this weekend at the local Dallas tournament all they said was that he was still in coma and fighting...Sorry I don't have any more news. I'm sure one of the local guys more involved will chime in once there is new news...

I pulled the following off of dallas wakeboarding it's from August.

Hey gang. I'll head up the group if anybody wants to go. His mom called me today asking for prayer and encouraging us to come up. If you do go up, they may be moving him closer to the nurses station, so he might be in 521 or 523.

He had surgery today to put the skull plate back in. Pray that whatever is shorting out in there God would reconnect.

Hey guys, this is the latest from the same questions from people here. This is from his friend who was with him during the accident...

Its not that we dont provide an update its just that theres no new news. Hes still in a coma and theres been no changes for the last month or so. its a matter of him waking up. But theres no change. Hes still got some fluid in his brain and still has problems with blood clots. There thinking about putting in a stint to filter out those but there waiting to see how things work out.

We're still praying.

A friend that frequents this site just showed me a link/video from the local news in TX that showed where a boy (22yrs old named Colby Sawyer) that passed from wakeboarding in bacteria infested waters -- part of this Amoeba issue that is going around... Just trying to put 2 and 2 together..

Colby Sawyer was a guy from Lubbock that was killed from bacteria after being in LBJ Lake down by Austin.

Here is the latest update:

It was pretty cool to see Colby out of his room. Keep praying for him because he's still in a coma. The awesome part is that he is doing so much better from the last time I saw him. His mom says that he is responding to things. They asked his where it hurts, and he consistently grunts for the same places. I get the feeling that he is aware of what is going on around him, he is just not able to connect with the outside world.
