I assume you mean on the cable. I think they are easier as well, but could be a little biased cause thats what I'm used to. I was riding a "stiff" board 2 weeks ago and couldnt do anything I wanted to. I had to attribute it to the board. Also, dont let the smooth bottom of a flex board let you think you cant load the line. I think either boards work just as well if you have proper edge technique.

I think it's way harder to do any kind of air trick on a flex board, but that could be because I'm not used to it.

for me I had a hell of a time learning air tricks on my ibex.... hopped on a recoil and not only can you load the line for pop, but the board as well....

Nick, the IBEX is not good for the cable. There's too much rocker to get a good load edge

Thats why I switched to a recoil, duh

Yeah, I was just saying the "stiff" board you were riding on the cable isn't a good "stiff" board for cable riding, although many of them are

I know, I was joking... the ibex was awful on the cable...

Then again the majority of my cable riding is a system 2 which is a little different too

company (super ltd) is awesome for air tricks. While were on topic has anybody tried the Ennen hybrid? Was always curious how that road for air tricks seeing as its a flex board with bottom features

I hated the ennen for air tricks. I don't think flex boards make them any easier...it is a little different though than a regular board (at least in my opinion). just make sure to have some fins on it :-)

hmm -1 for ennen then. Think my next deck is either the watson hybrid or the Co Vandall

I disagree with the fin comment. I think as long as your on an edge it will hold just as good as any regular board. However landings can be a little tougher because the lack of fins allows you to keep rotating instead of tracking out in one direction.

without fins on a flat flex board i find that landings are way more sketchy (from my own experience and watching others do the same) and the fins will make your edge much much better.

u can throw air tricks without fins on the flat decks, but it makes it much harder to go big
