How is the O'brien Vice and how does it ride.

The O'brien Vice great, this year they added the Delta base to the board. It really made it faster. It has an abrupt 3-stage rocker, which is usually slow but with the Delta base its much faster.

Tyler, great pop and like Andy said, the Delta base makes it much faster then the previous models. It tracks really well but if it feels loose in the beginning, you can use the small crook fins until you get comfortable with it's width. When I first got on the board a couple of years ago, it felt really loose when I would initiate a hard turn towards the wake. But I found that when I put my bindings out farther, it put pressure over the tip & tail, which allowed the molded fins to hook up well. So I didn't need to use the crook fins anymore.

It releases well from the wake for spins and lands soft. I highly recommend it.

i rode the '06 and really liked how it handled without the fins. great bite when you want it, but slid easy when you wanted it. it is very wide and that seemd to make it very stable.

i put those crook fins on and couldn't tell a bit of difference so i took them back off. they just looked like they would trip you up.

as far as the rocker goes, for '06 it is listed as progressive. and i always figured that was a fancy name for some kind of continuos rocker. i see for '07 they say progressive 3 stage, but as far as i know, the board was the exact same cut. all i can say, is it popped more like a continuous. it never sent me up like a 3 stage, and since i had a pretty small wake, i felt i needed a 3 stage and got rid of it. i hated to do it because i really liked it other than that and my wife did too. now i have a new boat and a new wake and it would probably be just fine.
