I'm thinking about building a small flat box that floats and using it in the delta but I need some advice.

First off does anyone know what the laws are on this? If we are hitting it and the sheriff pulls up is it illegal? I'm sure it depends on the sheriff but I'm just curious on what the actual law states.

Next, I've never built a rail or box before but I'm thinking of just using 2-3 plastic 55 gallon barrels to float the rail and to build it in sections to make transporting it out there easier. Will the barrels work or does anyone have any other advice to make it easier or work better? Also what is the plastic called that all the rails at the cable parks are built out of and where can I get some?

Thanks in advance!!

Why not just build one in the ground out there? There are spots where there are already rails out there. We bought materials and fixed one up that was beat a couple years ago. I think it was only $100 of materials. You could even build one and make the rail removable and just hide it in the reeds when youre not using it.

I dont know about your area, but that is definately illegal in Ontario. You would need a permit, either for a floating of fixed "dock". If it were a private or smaller lake that doesnt get patrolled as much I'd say go for it, but on a waterway like the Delta, its going to get pulled pretty fast, and if you're there you will probably get charged. I think your best bet is to hide it like seth said.

I'm only using it for 1 weekend for an event so thats why I need it to be a floating rail that I can put in place easily and remove afterward.

I've seen a few rails in te weeds around paradise point but that won't do me any good.

Ha ha ha.

I'm not going to lie. I was one of the 700 people who looked but didn't respond (until now). But I did just shoot you a message on FB. I might have some ideas.
