X-star tower diameter

I am thinking of getting a tower mirror arm. Does anyone know the diameter of the tower of an '08 x-star?

MC wants to charge 260$ and I know there are others out there for 100$ and less.

To be fair. Their tower mirror arm is nicer than most. It is easily removable with one knob. Probably a little too expensive but it is nicer. Tell them you found an aftermarket one for 100 and if they can do 200 you will buy it. They are still probably making close to $100 if they sell it to you at 200.

We got ours on ebay.... super nice...arm + mirror = 100 bucks.... comes off with 1 knob like MC's and or will rotate on 3-axis --- you can get it perfect

i have an 08 xstar and have two mirrors on the boat. i went through the same thing you are going through and the exact measurement is 2 7/8 " or 2.875 inches. it is not quite a full three inches. a friend of mind had a caliper and we measured it exactly. then we confirmed it with MC. good luck and check on the MC web site on market place. they had an arm and mirror not long ago for only $100.

Is that the diameter for all the 08 Towers?? I have an X-15 and need a dam flag holder big time.

X-15 tower is 2 1/2 inches ... XStar,X-55, and X-80 run 3 inch towers.....

for rob, "no". i can not say what the tower diameter for an x-15 is. i do know that a friend of mine has an '07 X-30 and i am pretty sure his tower is 2-3/8 inches. we measured it because he wanted to get another mirror and it was clearly smaller than my 08 XStar. I am absolutely positive, however that the 08 XStar is not 3 full inches. i have seen it referred to as a three inch tower but it is only 2-7/8 inches. again, of that i am positively sure.

Thanks all! So I guess I am looking for 2 7/8 mount. I'll have to do some shopping and add it to my x-mas list.
