I try. Are you familiar with the new Avids? Working with uncompressed media with realtime effects is awesome.

I've been looking online at some Discreet Logic INFERNO systems lately, just for kicks... those systems are insane. I saw a used one going for $210,000. They're based on high-end SGI hardware (Onyx2 and such)...look like some nice machines.

AVID is certainly fun as well! Enjoy your new system.
