I am about to buy some racks for my tower. I have only had experience with racks that have bungees for each board, but a lot of the ones I look at have a single bungee that is used for both boards. It seems that individual bungees would be better but I wanted to get some opinions on the single bungee racks.

Thanks

I have a bungee on each board, but my friend has a X-9 and his has a single bungee for two boards. I like his better.

Anyone know where to purchase Bungee material, and hardware. I need to replace mine.

It might be a personal thing. I too have used a single per board, single for 2 boards, single for 3 boards, but my new rack has 2 bungees for 4 boards and I think it's pretty easy to use.
West Marine is a good source for Marine grade bungee.

I have the Skylon double bungee and its a pain at times. My friend I ride with has the single-way more user friendly.

Cant help on where to get cord. But when you redo your straps think about getting some tubing to put over the cord? Might help keep it from fraying and wearing from the boards. I think I am going to try it soon.

I have a set of nice racks with a single bungee and they do not hold the boards at all. The bottom board is completely loose and moves around so much that we remove it and end up putting them on the floor of the boat. We've even tried to shorten the bungees but nothing work's. That's why I'm in the market for new board rack's possibly with dual bungees, like the ones made by fluid. If anyone has used the fluids or can recommend a good set of board racks that hold the boards securely I would appreciate your input.
