Sad to say my year is finished. Yesterday i was pulling my brother and something in the engine started grinding real bad. I hear what sounded like parts flying and the boat slipped out of gear. When I tried to put it back in gear to limp back to dock nothing happened. No reverse either. Im not a mechanic at all but I fear my transmission. Boats only 4 years old too. At least it did not happen mid season. Any other boat related season stoppers out there?

Sorry to hear that! Better ending than my shoulder surgery though!

How is Pleasant Hill to ride on? I grew up in that area, thought about trailering up there this summer but ended up selling the boat before I got the chance.

I like it. Only complaint is there are not a lot of other riders so its harder to push it and get better. Flip side of that is its easy to look good ;)

Yah, good to hear its only equipment related.

Luke, it may be something as simple as the key in the keyway slot between the transmission and the strut. Start with the easiest things and go from there. I had this happen to our old boat. It was about a 1hr fix.

I can relate to the season ender, but I bulged a disc in my lower back on a minor wipeout. Been 10 days and I can't get on socks yet!!!

Seems like a lot of injuries towards the end of this season and throughout it overall. People must be going bigger and that's always good! Roommate tore his MCL first day of summer and kept him off the water til about a month ago, and the other day our friend was trying a Moby Dick, which he lands consistently, and popped weird and came down and tore his MCL. Injuries suck.
