I love watching harley ride. He combines the tech wizardry of Phil Soven with the tech style of Danny Harf. Im guessing the switch whirly 5 was the new mobe 5 you were talking about. Pretty awesome...Im still waiting for him to stick the Dum dum 5, that will be insane, and ive seen some of his close attempts. But yeah, that was a crazy video. Grabbing his back 7s now, and his reg toe 9s, which look so easy. Love the toe back off 5...one of my favorite tricks. The poked hs 7 was sick. Everything is so good!

AWESOME as always, good work Harley!!!!
I love the part in Slick City where jeff mckee is talking to the camera laughing and is like, "we are just shouting out every wakeboard trick we can think of or that has ever been done and Harley is landing them."

what speed and how much weight does he put in his boat (xstar?) because this kid is easily getting double up air off a normal wake to wake. It honestly seemed like he sucked up the double up 1080 with his knees and got as much as he did off the normal jumps. (maybe it was the camera angle?)
Get a vid up of a dum dum 5!! and INSANE video keep them coming please.

Good god!!! Harley rules. His riding looks years ahead of most others.
Agreed on the 1080. He didn't get a hold of the DU. Popped early or maybe got tripped up, but he STILL landed it. insane.

and I thought the 2000 we had in our boat was alot. That boat probably consumes the same amount our boat does every hour, every 5 seconds lol

Lot's of lead.... Hah. You could probably essentially turn the area under each seat into a ballast compartment, fill up the coolers... Put a 750 back in the bow down the walkway, throw another 550 in the back up against the seats, put another 550 in the middle of the floor, put weight on top of the seats.
It's doable, we've put 4k in a 19 foot direct drive boat, so I can see it.

I heard Randall and Keith both ride at 235ft going 175mph behind Harley's boat....
7K is one of the dumbest things I've heard on this forum.

I'm sure Bill can find out how much weight Harley is running and speed. It would end all speculation.

We run somewhere between 4-5K in our xstar at times.
In our older 8.1 big block Xstar, we were able to run more, but I don't think we had anywhere near 7K. I personally don't think the boat would handle it. Our re-propped LY6 will struggle to plane out with around 5K.

Factory ballast = 1000 pounds
Extra weight = 2300kg = 5060 pounds
People weight = 5x150 avg = 750 pounds
Total weight = 6810 pounds
Tasty

I live on Lake Holden and know the following:
That boat sits LOW in the water and must be extremely weighted down.
The wake is huge.
It is a treat to get to watch Harley ride.

Yea, I wouldn't doubt that it's close to 7k pounds of weight in his boat. I've been told that Rusty runs right around 6300 of ballast in his XStar as well. Add people and gear on to that and you're easily at 7k.

IDK... I used to ride behing an XStar with the larger engine (410hp) and we had roughly 3500lbs of ballast and 8 people and the boat would barely plane out. 7k lbs sounds crazy! I would like to know for sure cause the wake looks pretty rediculous
