If anyone is in Minneapolis January 20-23, come to the Convention Center and check out the boat show.

Nautique athlete JD Webb in the MarineMax Booth on Friday!

I'll be there along with the MWMC crew! Looks like we'll have 11 boats on display plus our entire pro shop. We are still lining up athletes but should have factory reps on hand as well as tons of new gear.

Word on the street is no rail jam this year, not sure why I thought it had a pretty good draw last year.

I'll be there, with a crew, most likely on Friday. Cory, bring an HO Agent kneeboard. I gotta see one, even though I can't ride anymore.

No dice on the Agent, they are on order but HO is WAY slow about actually shipping product so I doubt it will be at the show. We expect them closer to ice out.

Shoot. Oh well, no biggie.

BTW, I'm going to the dark side and am in the market for a wakeboard setup. Looking for a Watson Classic 142 with Watson XL (11-12) bindings. I'm a dealer for Inland Surfer, Grindwater, and Fly High, so a barter/trade isn't out of the question. Somebody help me out.

Gotta love boat show time. I will be bringing my daughter for the first time. She is 10 months. Hopefully she enjoys it and is not to big of a head ache!

Congratulations on the new addition, Best thing that ever happend to me and every day is a new day. You never know what they are going to do from one minute to the next.

Im assuming Son watersports will have the centurions. Im interested to see what marine max does with the nautiques and the booth setup. Will it be like MWMC and MN inboard? # of boats wise that is.

MarineMax will have all models of Nautique except the 216 Sport. We are bringing 5 Nautiques this year, 29 boats total. We will have factory representation and as posted earlier in thread, JD Webb on Friday. We have 11 boats in stock currently in the state, with 6 spec orders to garuntee spring delivery for boats ordered at show. We also have 12 boats in our Georgia location we can access if the color schemes work for customers.

Should be a good one. Looks like the big three will be there in full force. I don't think that has ever been done before.

Does anyone know if Tige is still being sold in MN?

Tige will be on there, they have a new dealer out of Willmar called Family Marine. Looks like they have 2 or 3 in stock, not sure how many they will bring to the show. I've also heard Centurion will have the new Pro Carbon slalom boat on hand. bb

For MC's we'll have
ProStar 197 w/ ILMOR 5.7
ProStar 214V w/ Indmar MCX
MariStar 215 w/ ILMOR 5.7
X-2 w/ ILMOR 5.7
X-25 w/ ILMOR 5.7
X-25 w/ power tower and ILMOR 6.0
X-14 w/ILMOR 5.7
X-14V w/Indmar 5.7
X-14V w/ ILMOR 6.0
X-45 w/power tower and ILMOR 6.2 LS3
X-55 w/Indmar 6.0

Have you guys had a chance to run the Ilmors yet. Are any of them catalyzed, or did you get as many non catalyzed engines as possible before the change over?
Old     (snowboardcorey)      Join Date: Jan 2004       01-09-2011, 8:03 AM Reply
Yeah, we had a customer boat with the first consumer ILMOR 5.7 Liter in it, first with a Delphi ECM now with Econtrols (standard on ILMOR from here on out). Zero problems with the engine, it pushed an X-25 around Minnetonka all summer. We were able to utilize that engine a full year before they were actually offered in the boats.

All the ILMOR engines are catalyzed, we only brought in two non-cat engines (base Indmar 5.7) We have never had much success selling the base engine, most people want more power and with so many people surfing the Cats are nice to have.

The MC engine testing was pretty impressive and independent CARB testing backs up the HP data. I think people will be pretty impressed with the torque supplied by these engines, ILMOR put a ton of time in the calibrations and designing the intake. We are going to have an ILMOR 6.0 engine pulled out of a boat and on display at the show.

Great show guys.. Fun to see everyone..

Special thanks to Tony from teh Tige factory.. Super nice guy - showed me the TigeTouch and we shared some laughs about me two fisting my beers and having my pregnant wife carry them around while I drooled over the RZ2.

Everyone had great set ups this year - even Flake.. Talking to Rob from MNInboard, Corey from MWMC and Casey from Natique - it sounded like everyone thought it was a successful show. We had fun. Thanks for everyones hard work putting it together.
