what is up with everyone wanting some specfic older boards all of a sudden?!

I dont know, but I have a friend who insists on riding his 2001 Drifter with Spin bindings. All of the guys on the boat have 2006 top of the line equipment. Everyone offers to let him use our boards, and we make tons of jokes about his board. He still insists on riding it because that is what he is used to.

The reason for me is that when the Shapiro came out in 03 I was 14, I rode a old crappy 01 setup and since the very first time I saw the board, I fell in love... Now I am 18, I ride for O'Brien and with all the money I've been saving with my hookups, I would still absolutely love this board just to have. I don't plan on riding it at all, I ride an 06 Player and an 06 Natural. I just love the board, thats it.
