just had the first run of the season on my new (to me) supra launch. GG sacs made the wakeboarding wake phenomenal IMO. and the Surf wake was quite good as well. Plenty of wave to ride, but we seemed to be getting pushed into the boat a lot. any suggestions? Setup: Center GG full (appx 1100), surf side GG full (appx 550), We had 4 people inside the boat, a driver, 1 person sitting on surf side sundeck, and 2 people sitting surf side rear seats. Cruising around 10.5-11 MPH. Wakeplate all the way up

Plenty of wave to ride, but when you would "catch" the wave it would push you pretty quick over the swim platform so we steer the board to the side of the swim platform and wash out of the wave. We noticed driving faster, maybe 11.6-.8 put you further back, and you could still cruise "okay", but not near the size. Sorry I forgot to take pics....

And both sides were pretty much the same

Sounds like a good weight/speed formula.

Play around with the wakeplate.
We run the plate @ 50%

Every boat/wave is different and you'll learn how to ride your wave without pushing so hard in to the platform.

What model year do you have Jeremy?

I've got an '06 Launch that I've spent a good amount of time sacking out. Hopefully it is '06 or earlier, haven't had too much experience with the new hull.

Any weight up front? I run 400 up front & Supras love to dig in that deep nose. That would serve to lengthen the pocket as well. Lets see some pics dangit Hawk! :-)

I have the same boat - same year.
Sounds like an awesome wake to me. Two things to try easily. Speed does lenghten or shorten the pocket and size of the wave just as you have indicated. I only change the speed .2 on perfect pass and it makes a difference.
If you want alittle less push - move the person from the swimdeck to the front.
Play with wakeplate - that boat puts out a great surf wake - enjoy.

I have an 02 SSV and surf with the same GG fat sacs as you and we seem to accelerate into the platform pretty easy as well. We run at 10.3mph and the wake plate all the way up. I think it just takes more experience to put the brakes on when surfing and stay a little further back.

Hate, I'll prolly just do that. I saw your pics from the weekend and looks like you got your pretty dialed. How's the wakeboard wake on your boat?

Scott, good to know. Maybe I was making too big of speed adjustments. And I did play around with people configuration just a little bit. At the end of the day, we kept the 1 person on the swimdeck, but brought the 2 people sitting in the back corner to the front of the boat. It lengthened the pocket, but again a little less wave. I probably just need to buy another sac...I was trying to avoid that...everything adds up so quick

John, I agree. Once we got the hang of it on the new boat, new board, some of us were able to brake and keep away from the boat. The only problem was that's all we could do was concentrate on braking to keep away from the boat.

ha Mikey! I'll get some pics up. I love that you got your SS dialed, looks pretty sweet. I know I was considering getting the bow sac, but I really hate taking up space in my boat, but maybe I'll just try throwing some peeps up there. I wonder if 2 back corner, and 2 in bow would help
