After Market Ballast (Fat Sacs)

This year we have decided to add much needed weight to our '99 Moomba Outback. We have purchased the pump already for the sacs, my question is this....which sacs have you all had the best experience with? I would prefer a sac with a cover just due to the stuff we have in the boat while using them.....more a piece of mind than anything else. We are leaning towards the Launch Pad twins, it is 2 / 440lbs sacs for either side of the dog house. If anyone has a better idea for placement of sacs, how much weight and better yet, even owns a Moomba with sacs, please send me in the right direction. But as usual, any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I borowed the lauch pad twins last wekeend to try them out. they work/fit perfectly. I scraped the covers...they are a pain in the a_s. I ran a pair of those filled to almost bursting as well as a 600 in the rear fileld the same and about 200lbs of lead in the nose. I have a PS 190

I had heard on one of the message boards that those with the outback and older Mobius were using 500-600 on each side of the engine and 250-300 right in front of the engine. They said to be very careful when stopping,turning around, and watch out for rollers as you can very easily swamp the boat.

I have an 01 Outback (non LS) and plan on using the launch pad lounges (500-550lb) on each side of the engine and a launch pad 440 locker partly filled in the front of the engine. This should be plenty of wake for me as this will be my first season boarding, so I probably won't need much of a wake to start anyways. Once I progress I plan on upgrading to a Vdrive.

I like the launch pad lounges as well. No one has actully lounged on mine, but they seem to be thicker and thougher in order to handle a persons weight on top of them. This way, you don't have to mess with covers because i agree that they are a real b-tch.

I've used just about every brand of fat sac out there....launch pads, skylon, fly high (old style), and I can tell you that hands down the highest quality sac I have used are the new Fly High Pro-X series fat sacs.

These come with the quick connect fittings which will eliminate the hassel of keeping up with those rubber stoppers and caps. They are also really thick, so no covers are needed. You will not be dissapointed with these sacs.

Also look at the Letsgoride fat sacs. No cover required and super thick. Been using two for over two years with NO problems.
Although I can't seem to find their web page right now.

They are the ones that come in Red, Blue, Grey, etc. The companies website is either www.fatsac.com or www.barefootinternational.com ...I think?

It doesn't state it on any of the websites, but the sacs will come with an adapter that will fit on a standard pump.
