Well I have been trying to find time to install my stereo gear and with all the rain lately, yes rain in AZ, I havn't been able to do half my winter projects. One of them was installing my new stereo gear. So I am thinking about taking it to a shop and have them do it for me. I was just wondering what would be a fair price to get it done. I need to install 2 amps, an EQ, and 2 tower speakers. The other day I called a place that shall remain nameless, but advertises Home of the $1 install and they quoted me $70 to install a deck in my suburban. Soooo I was just wanting to find out what you guys have paid or might pay. The install should be pretty straight forward, nothing really custom at all. I just want to get it done with the WB season just around the corner.

Assuming your brigning your own equipment? Not including the cost of RCA's/wiring, distro blocks, ect...a shop will proabbly charge you by the hour, not by the equipment.

My guess is in the $70-90/hr range.4-6 hours on the install.

I have the amps, eq and tower speakers. Hvnt bought any of the other supplys yet because I am now weighing my options. If I buy all the wiring, blocks, ect myself I think I will be at about $100-$150 alone.

Install times are gonna depend on if your tower is prewired or not too. If it is, pretty easy job. If not then it depends on if the boat and tower have holes drilled to pull the wires through.
