I just installed a prosport 12, and have it all wired up.
I have the correct plug flooded/agm installed, I have a Surepower 1314 but its all unhooked so the 2 banks are seperated. When I plug it into 120VAC the power light comes on but does not start charging. The red light is supposed to come on then go into a charge cycle but all it does is sit with the blue power light on.

Both banks are sitting at 12.5v.

I'm 100% sure I've got it hooked up correctly so polarity shouldn't be an issue.

I've got good connections at the batteries.

The batteries are new so there is no corrosion

The 1314 is disconnected so there no interferrence there.

Is it possible I have a bad charger? I'm stumped. Heeelp....

(Ive read through the manual several times and have refferenced the online pdf file here as well)

The blue light is on because your batteries don't need to be charged.
Drain your batteries and then plug it back in and I'm sure it will turn red and start charging.
On mine the red lights shows it charging and the blue light is on once the batteries are fully charged.

Isn't it supposed to charge to 14.6 then drop to 13.3? Thats what the manual says.
Like I said the batteries are around 12.5 so it should come on to charge them to 13.3, or at least show they are ready.
I dunno. I hope its that simple.

I've had a fuse come loose on mine and it didn't even turn on, no lights. Since his light is blue, as is mine when the batteries are fully changed I think his batteries are charged, but I could be wrong. I never actually checked mine with a meter, but they are always charged.

Newty the manual you posted up shows that the model has a green light not blue, is your light blue or green.

leave your radio on all night to drain the battery and then plug your charger in the morning to see if the light turns red.

The blue just indicates that it has AC power (its plugged in). The green light will indicate a fully charged battery.

Check the polarity at the boat. Garages are known for wiring polarity issues as are cheap extension cords.

I haven't seen anything in the manual, but can you use the batteries while the promariner are charging them?

Update. Even when the ready light came on it still wasn't charging. I decided to double check everything. Turns out there was a bad fuse on the aux side of the charger. Replaced it and everything is working properly now. Thanks guys for the feedback, I appreciat it.
