Brandon,

I know this has been said 1 million times already, but no one can really make the decision for you. A great way to start looking (at least I think so) if you want to narrow your choices, go to www.wakeside.com, and they have a "Board rating" for each company. This will show you the attributes for each board they carry. Find something that sounds like your style, and go try to find a demo at a shop close to you.

As far as the beginner/intermediate thing goes, just get something you are comfortable with. The ONLY difference between most "beginner" or "intermediate" shapes is years: after about 2 years, a new shape is released, and the old pro boards become the lower-end boards, just renamed and with different graphics. Don't let that fool you, its all hype.

Brandon, I have some closeout boards at a good price that would work. Check out www.DWCBoardShop.com.

I bought a new CWB flame and love it. I am pretty new to wakeboarding and this year went W2W so I think I'm beginner/intermediate and I think its a good board. My buddy rides it who is a lot better than I am and likes it, and the newbies ride it too. I like it because I can change the fin size based on rider's ability or take it off if they prefer. I am still riding a fin but it's a smaller one than they come with.

man it all depends on how much you will be ridding, how much you want to progress, and how serious you are about it. if you plan on hitting it hard and really progressing i would go head and get a high performance board that fits your style. if you just want to ride and dont care about how much you progress then you should get aboard that has a wide range of ridding potential. but most high performance boards are alot easier and more fun to ride than a beginner or intermediate board. but i would go to wakeside.com and look at there board comparison charts

my opinion, there really isnt any "intermediate" or "beginner board". I think its based off how much you plan to do with your riding. I got out of the water, rode a few times, and bought an 05 parks. i love that board. its rated "expert" or whatever by some of the board raters, but i love it. Its kinda all what you get used to. Check out somewhere where you can demo a few boards and find what your lookin for that way. Its a great way to really get a feel for a new board before you lay out all the cash.
