Hey, I've got a MyMC dash kit for my '04 x-2 that I just got around to installing. When I got to looking at it, I realized that the new dash panel had 9 holes and the stock has 7. Are there some blank gauge inserts that I can buy? I would also be willing to put some sort of gauge there if it would be useful to me, but I can't think of anything. I'm assuming ballast gauges can' be put on an '04.

Yes blank gauges are available from Mastercraft. I have two in my dash as well. I am missing the clock, which I took out because it draws enough current to effect your battery over the winter, and I am missing a depth finder.

How do they look?

Add some comedy ones but hook them upto real things so it looks like they are doing things.

Volt meter hooked up to a dial that says "Bling Factor" etc could be quite fun and a cool winter project....

I was thinking that, but being between school and work, I hardly have enough time to install the kit if I had everything in front of me.

We just take a plastic license plate and cut to to cover the hole from the back. get some good spray paint and paint it then silicone it in place. that way when you add somethin in the spot all you gotta do is punch it out peel the silicone off and put whatever gauge in. works for the insurance people. just a cheap dealer trick for ya.

The MC one will be just like the Volt meter, Oil pressure, ect. Except instead of having a clear lens it will be solid white.

Where is it exactly do you guys get the Bling meters? I have seen them on here before, they are awsome!

Yeah the standard MC ones are available and just plain white or grey with a 'Mastercraft' logo. Pretty boring looking.

Craig - You have to make them. buy a gauge, take it apart, make the new display (or have a sign shop make it for you), then re-assemble and install. Its not difficult but needs to be done right to look right. Bodge it and it will look like ass. :-)

Thanks for the input. I think I'm going to put all the stock stuff back on and figure out what I'm gonna do before I get too deep into it without parts.

I'm not too sure how I would do the bling meters. I'm sure I could pick up a couple gauges off of ebay, but how would I hook them up? I'm certainly not gonna splice any of those wires. I couldn' imagine how much messing that up would cost.
