I am looking for some new bindings with more ankle support than my CWB torq 2005 bindings. Just sprained my ankle last weekend, decided its time for better/stiffer bindings.

What do you all recommend for more ankle support but still not to difficult to get in and out of, if there is such a thing?

thanks
dc

I bought high backs in '04 becuase of ankle injury. They are stiff as hell yes, but they do not really offer any extra protection.

I would reccomend getting an elastic ankle exercise band and using it every other day to strengthen the muscles around the joint. You should also do some things to improve your prioreception(sp?). Stand on one leg with your eyes closed and balance for a few minutes a day. This is much harder than it sounds.

I used to get ankle sprains all the time with my LF Elements. I recently bought a set of '06 Hyperlite 3DS. Not one sprain since I started riding them. Another plus: Hyperlite offers a limited lifetime warranty on their '06 and newer bindings. They are pretty easy to get into and offer excellent hold down and support. Just my opinion.

Good day
