I am looking at purchasing an amp to drive the speakers on our tower; I have yet to purchase speakers or amp.

The boat already has a 600-watt mono bazooka amp that feeds the bazooka sub. The clarion head unit feeds six kicker speakers.

The tower speakers I am thinking about are the 8" Bazooka tubies (so it will all match)-(and be cost effective)

The two amps I am looking at are on E-bay

The Bazooka Amp will match but I don't know if it will drive the tower speakers effectively?

Thanks in advance.

David

the pyle amp is junk...those numbers are more than likely max output not RMS. The bazooka tubbies sound decent for what they are. take a closer look at the auction...no clamps are provided for mounting. I've had no exp with the bazzoka amps. Don't worry so much about matching brand with brand. you speakers will not get mad at you

I just bought a set of those tubbies but havent hooked them up yet, they look good quality wise though.
Im gonna use this amp for them.

Or this would be a good amp for the tower speakers

And a 4 channel amp

Like Adam said those pyle amps are just that, a pile. Youd be better off with something that will put out what its rated at and that if you need to you can run at 2 ohms. You might even look at the Hifonics stuff on ebay, ive heard good things about them for the price as well.

---DO NOT GET THE PYLE AMP---

Pure junk..

The best amp for the money I'm telling you is a Clarion APX480M 4 channel..

I got mine for $140 with a scratch on it, and have it powering 4 Audio Formz 6x9 Infinity's in parallel on two channels, and a set of 7" Clarion coax's and a set of 6.5" Clarion seperates in front parallel with NO PROBLEM.. she thumps hard and is WAY loud and clear at 70' and I have never even come close to turning it all the way up..

That one amp does it all.. crystal clear.. pure quality :-)

HIGHLY recommend the Audio Formz as well.. super sexy swingin' sounds and way underpriced at $330 a pair with clamps included.. beautiful beautiful attention grabbing things.. I get questioned about em and stares everytime I take em out.. the best part is when the guy in the MC X2 drives by and goes damn.. I need some of those..
