Hi, new to the forum. Apologies if this is a stupid question.

Just had a board crack in half width wise between the feet. I submitted a warranty claim to customer support who proceeded to inform me that their boards are not covered under warranty if it has been used on sliders/kickers!?! (it has)

Is this the industry norm, or should I be pissed off? Its a well known company.

Thanks in advance.

its normal, most all board companys have this clause in there warranty. I go to TSR all the time and been through a few boards myself for the same reason, its just easier to move on and buy a new board..... thats why now i have a board for rails and one for boat. just food for thought......

... ahhck, bummer. Well thanks for letting me know. At least I know I'm not being screwed alone. They mentioned something about a discount on a new board, hopefully its a good one!

Cheers

I would suggest any flex board would help with the problem so you dont keep on trashin your boards, no worries. good luck with the new board buying, i am doing the same thing right now.....

Bo,

It's an industry standard that boards aren't covered under warranty. Even the boards with special Grind Bases, or Enduro Bases, basically the ones made made to be rail specific aren't covered, they're just meant to hold up better on the rails to prolong the life of the board as you won't be getting any warranty from it if it breaks due to rail riding. I'm 99% sure the O'Brien R5 and Local that And mentioned are the ONLY boards currently out that carry a warranty for rail damage. At least I haven't come across any others. That is pretty solid of whichever board company you dealt with to offer you a discount.
