Nick ~~ With those pictures I don't know how you can take it. You should put you home up for quick sale and not look back. That is the worst water I have ever seen and would hate to say I live there. Just let me know when you put it up for short sale FIRST. Thanks for the post! I would love to call that home...

Very Cool (actually warm!)

Here are a couple of slices of ice cold butter on Lake Superior. Superior can take down freighters like this, so a day of glass is kinda unusual on the big lake.

Jim-is that Bullards?

We are heading up on 10/4, hows the lake level?
Old     (heem)      Join Date: Dec 2005       08-31-2007, 6:32 PM Reply
Doug,

Yes, thats Bullards less than 2 weeks ago. The water level is obviously low, maybe 45-60 ft vertical from high water line. There is no problem with obsticles, that we found anyway. We will be up there again in about a week. Were there last year the second week in October and it was great.

Big Matt, you cant's chip the ice in Canada to get butter. You just run the Zamboni around your circuit.

Nice looking boat Nick.

Hey Lakeski, do you board on lake superior???? I go to school in Duluth and I am curious as to if people actually board on the lake, i know it usually isnt butter

Butter on Superior was very cool.

That second picture is Duluth in the background, taken along Minnesota Point. That's the only time we've taken our boat into open water on Superior, outside of the sheltered waters of Duluth Harbor.

Usually, Superior is just too rough and would swamp a ski boat without much trouble. And, did I mention it's way too cold.

The inland lakes are much nicer and warmer for skiing / boarding.

Lake Cumberland last week. We had perfect conditions all week! Water level is down like 30 feet but most of the lake was still 30-100 feet deep. What a great vacation!
