been looking at the 140 Shane (kinda leary rode the 05 Parks and I agree I felt like I was getting pounched in the mouth by mike tyson, but I loved how it carved), 142 Transcend, 142 Watson, maybe the 133/7 fish. I've been ridding the 141 PS3, 5'9 180lbs, average rider nothing special. A crack in my board (recent move) is forcing me to get a new board, dang the luck. I owuld like for something different but I am deployed so no demo's for me right now. I get back at the begining of June and I want to ride so your guys help would be great.

Kenny,

Have you tried one of the NW HardCore riders, Natural? If not, you need to check it out!

I bought the Transcend 142 last year and I love it. I researched alot of boards before I bought. I like it so much that I am going to run it this year too.

I have been riding a PS3 141 for the last 2 years. At the end of the season last summer I tried a 138 transcend. Made me hate my board. The transcend is a great board. You can't go wrong with the transcend. I just bought a 142 transcend last week. I can't wait to ride it!

I have a Transcend Platty and love it. Also ride the Absolute for the past 3 years and its a sick board as well. BTW I have a Brand new 2008 Absolute platty for sale $425.00 shipped

Another Natural lover here! But try the Shane, it has nothing to do in any way with Parks board. I know that a guy who regularly rides the Shane rode my Natural and was able to do all his regular inverts and spins no problem. Oh, I just realized no demos.

Just get the Natural and I guarantee you will love it. (I've seen one of the sweet 07s (IT'S CHROME!!!) regulalry on an eBay store for $250.)

(p.s. having ridden both the Natural and the Absolute, the Natural was better in every respect imo, broke lose easier, had better pop, I guess they were about the same for tracking though.)

Kenny,

I've heard the Natural is a good board.

Kenny, are you saying that you are currently riding an 05 Parks. If so I'm in the same boat as you I'm looking to upgrade as well. I'm 170 lbs 5' 10" average rider and I ride the 140 Parks. I like the board and all but looking for something that may land a little softer.

Nope, not riding the Parks (got tired of getting my ass kicked). Been riding my PS3 for last 2 years.

Cliff, I noticed last summer at NWWF that allot of you guys rode those boards, but I never have or thought about it. I will have to consider that board now.

So how would you guys rate thier speed, edging, pop, landing, etc?

I've come from a 03 Parks 138 to a 07 Shane 136. I've demoed alot of boards, but I cannot demo for you!
I liked the PS3 alot for an upgrade, but eventually it was a toss between the Axis and the Shane. Haven't regret the desission. The Shane is alot more forgiven then the Parks. It's more subtile, better landings. It tracks well, perhaps not like a Parks. But good enough for someone who was used to that board. It has a little less pop, but again. More then alot of the other boards I tried (PS3, Murray, Byerly, Substant, Fish, Trip, Team). I think the Shane will not disappoint anybody, but there are better boards for every individual.
