After some attempts with Oven Cleaner and Acetone to remove the painted registration numbers I had on my boat I finally got the Domed Numbers installed. I ended up wet sanding the numbers off and then polishing the shine back. You'll see some progress pics below.

Everyone's numbers look great, the only downside here is that I bought mine before the group buy and paid $89 plus shipping, which makes you feel you could have got a better deal. One of my numbers showed up defective and Shelly took care of it ASAP, their customer service is second to none! All and All I'm still a happy camper. Upload

Don't have any real good ones showing the "doming", but here are ours. The first set that I got didn't match as well, so they made us another set after I sent them a picture of the Centurion logo and font. They did a great job matching the font and color perfectly. Great customer service!

Just installed mine. I went with the chrome main, and black outline to match the lettering at the stern. I really like how they turned out. Please excuse the dirty boat, I still haven't cleaned it since the helicopter lift. Hey Evilone, did you use a rubbing compound or just wax to buff out your gelcoat, after removing the original stickers? Looks clean.

As my boat is white with a large black stripe, it did the opposite: black letters with a chrome border, attached on the black stripe.

I was worried about visibility when I ordered them, but you can see them fine. They match the "Wakesetter" and "Malibu" decals well.

Man, that's clean looking. I was also concerned about the visibility of the chrome on white, but, I think it will be fine.

Yep...Domed #'s hooked me up to. White on black on silver on black to match the MC decal down the side!
They do great work!

Barrett, I used 3M Finesse It Rubbing Compound followed by the Meguiar's Polish using this and then put on Meguiar's Gold Class Wax. I first tried rubbing compound by hand and got nowhere. I bet if I just used the polish on the power tool I could have skipped the Rubbing Compound step because I was very careful with the sanding as evidenced by how hard it was to show in pictures.

Mike, it looks real good, I'm not sure how my local 5-0 would like it. I got stopped with my painted numbers because he said he had a hard time reading them but it sounds like just an easy "probable cause" situation.

Those nubmers look great.

There is something a little bit funny about "Please excuse the dirty boat, I still haven't cleaned it since the helicopter lift."

evilOne,

The chrome is really bright. Here's a shot from further away: (Sorry about the quality; I had to resize for WW)

I haven't had any issues, but that doesn't mean I won't. I think the look is worth it.

Your boat looks great; nice upgrade with the domed numbers over the painted ones.

Hey Jon, in case you missed the post, here is the video of my flying boat, last weekend:

Needless to say, the boat was filthy and soaked to the bone.
