I have been riding the slingshot all year and recently decided that I miss my Absolute Platinum. While I liked that I could be so lazy on the Plat, I think I rode better on my old Obrien Demented. Thinking about grabbing one of these again as I am not so consistent on my Slingshot.

Ideas, suggestions, comments?

Mike,
I keep going back to my '05 Absolute Platinum because of the softness of the landings. Maybe you should grab both if you can find decenct used ones.

I've got an 05 absolute plat that I am thinking of selling in very good condition.

If you liked the Absolute, do yourself a favor and hop on the Transcend. It still has the big pop but is a lot more forgiving and has even softer landings.

And if you like the Demented, then try the Faction for 2010. Super fast like the Demented.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Keep in mind, as an old school slalom skier I am constantly trying to slow things down. I have no trouble flying 20' out into the flats, just have trouble getting more than 3' vert... Pop, Pop, Pop

Mike ~ I can hook you up on a 2009 Transcend Platy. We have both sizes available at a price you wont believe. I know you are looking for a Absolute, but like Steve said "If you liked the Absolute, do yourself a favor and hop on the Transcend"

Hmmm, decisions.

I really liked the Demented with the exception of it's tendency to hook a corner when exiting a turn. I am tempted to try the Transcend, seems highly recommended and I like the shape. The $100 Demented is tough to pass. I gotta think about it. Often in these situations I would buy both but I am trying to cut down... I really need to get rid of my wife's old board to make room in my shed... It's a 130 Premier (blue/black graphics) with small LF minx bindings (blue), don't remember the years.

Boarders Best buy has the Transcend Platnum for $225. I'm going to pick one up. Time to upgrade from my hyperlite state.

Hell yeah Tony!!! That Platty is sick.... Good choice...

Dude who started the thread...C-dub is where it's at...I've ridden pretty much every other brand, and c-dub is the best.

Sup Thomas! Yeah, I saw that smokn deal and well it's just too good to pass up. Now I have to look into some bindings as the once I have now, the BOA ratchet comes loose from time to time. We'll hook up when u roll out here...

Tony
