hey all,
Well we just got our 05 X2 in the water and We love it! it has some problems though that need to be solved.
First the marina who we bought it from winterized it. Some how they managed to get anti freeze in the battery holder. this caused the fuse (we guess) to short out. On the fuse in says 30 amps but on the fuse holder it says to use 40 amps. SO we called JL and asked what to do and they said put a 60 amp fuse in it. There is no way we could put a 60 amp fuse in the slot. so now felow 2005 x2 owners with the JL 6450 6 channel amp what fuse do you use? Did we get a boat wired wrong? Also we put a 35 amp fuse in because we could not find a 40 amp fuse and at the end of teh day the entire fuse was melted. So what do we do?

also where is the speedometer sensor location? ours stopped working.
Thanks!
Colin

Colin. A 40 amp should hold up and still give you protection. If you had a wiring problem the fuse should pop right away. As for the paddle for your speedo it should be near the mid drain plug. I believe its on the port side of the keel.

Speedometer sensor is a paddle wheel on the bottom of the boat, yours might be stuck or broke......

To find the paddle wheel, lift up the back seat, the plastic tray under it and find it infront of the gas tank. It's a round plastic thing with an arrow and two screws on top. Unscrew it by hand and check to see if there is four paddles or if it is spinning
