I want to install some kind of heater under the bow of my refitted old boat, I wanted to know if there are different kind of heaters and wich are the pros and cons of each one.
Hope to get some help, winter has come down here and it's freaking chillin'!!

Yes they use hot water from the engine to heat air just like a car heater. I have not heard of any heaters that use power from the boat electrical system since that would take far too much amperage.

The install has a supply and return line to the heater core which is in the same housing as the electric fan. The heater unit is usually mounted under the dashboard in front of the driver.

If the boat is a V-drive, make sure to specify since the hose will be longer to make it from the back of the boat to the dash area.
