I don't think you can go wrong for that price. If it runs, you can always change things. For that price, you can afford to make upgrades, like a tower. You will also probably get more than you paid for it in a couple years, if you upgrade to a bigger boat. Especially if you upgrade the boat. Unless you ruin it, I don't think you'll lose money by using it for a couple years.

That one looks nice, but the MC will have more freeboard. ... Less taking rollers over the front and back. The Sanger is in awesome shape though.

That second MC is nice too. ... Or you could buy a yellow Tige. I know this guy that has one, and he wants a new red and white one.

I don't know right now. .... Honestly I'm not in position to get a new one yet. I need a job first. Then... Well, I don't know. It's pretty much done. Maybe a single wetsound 485 on the tower should finish off the stereo. ... I'm sure you'll see it this summer at some point. It has lead, it has sacks, upgraded tower, upgraded racks.... blah blah.

If you look at it though, it is less than 100 hrs a year. That school didn't use it much. 16 years old, 1365 hrs. They say it runs good. Take it to a mechanic, have them look at it. Other posts have recommended a leak down test, and compression test. That can't cost that much. Maybe $200. Now you are at $8K. Still pretty cheap if it is what they say it is.

Thanks Robb

I even chewed him down some more. He also agreed to a lake test and would let me take to a mechanic. Sending me more pics tonight.

Anyone know worst case scenario if Engine ever did go out? How much for a rebuilt. Is it easy to swap out?
