I have an 06 X-star w/ an MCX. I want a new prop to help when I have the boat loaded down. Some people have suggested the edge 14.25 x 14. Are there any other suggestions? I generally run stock ballast plus a 650 in each back locker and a 600 in the bow walk through. When you get about 10 people in there it takes it a long while to plane. Any suggestions would help. Thanks guys and gals.

i had the prop you mentioned in an 05 xstar with mcx. it changed my boat into a stump puller. it also allowed the perfect pass to really lock in solidly. i have not experienced a better prop for your application than the 14.25 X 14.

Travis Moye says 14.25 x 14. Maybe he will chime in here, but I know that is what he runs on "The Bandit".

The 14.25X14 is great on the LY6. I'm not sure if it'd work well with a loaded MCX. We had that prop on last years boat and got the boat to max capacity a couple times where we had to drain to get on plane with the LY6.

Travis would know for sure, but I'd be inclined to go with something with a slightly smaller pitch, but same diameter. The smaller diameters just cavitate and don't move enough water.

2004 x star MCX with fly high system, so 750lbs in the rear lockers and 400lbs in the front 2 lockers and with the 14.25 x 14 it jumps out of the water!! there is a new prop I believe the 14.75 X 15.5 at OJ that is supposed to be awesome. $650.00 is the price!! OJ Props call and ask about it. I paid 473 for my prop from skiertoskier.com

Travis runs an MCX with 14.25 x 14
that is the prop to have whether MCX or LY6.
There is nothing better when running weight right now. Good luck getting Travis to chime in. PWT is going strong and he is usually behind the wheel all day.
