Very cool. Where do you run the wires?
Old     (ssg)      Join Date: Jun 2001       01-24-2003, 9:30 AM Reply
Right down the middle of the pole. since I remove the pole a lot, I drilled another hole approx 4 inches above where it connects at the bottom, then also put in a quick disconnect canon plug to separate it from the system wiring. If you remember that I installed the pylon kinda uniquely, so you can't see any of the bottom wiring at all. Here's a couple pics to further illustrate what I have done.

What does this tell you? A general price average? Why is this useful if you do not know anything about the boats. As in what year it is, what year it was purchased, and what model and options. Maybe a quick pole for dave would be how much did you spend on your boat:
0-$5K
5-10
10-20
20-30
30-40
40-50
50+
That might be what you are looking for...??? Otherwise people telling you what kind of boat they have and what they paid seems pretty useless if you don't know the rest of the information. Just my .02 cents worth. Thanks!

Sorry, just thought we could get some good info and understand more if people would put a little more info with their post. That and I just got done reading the tecky post about BigMacs powering a VLX!!!

I guess the only reason we haven't hit 60K is the Nautique owners aren't posting?

I'd bet the average is much higher since most, I believe did not pay cash, but took out a loan.

For example, if I hadn't paid up front, that $16K would've been $26K after the loan was paid.

LOL!, yeah, I guess I should start adding that too.

But it's amazing when you find out that $40K boat is really a $60K debt. Now I can see why some folks are pretty anal about the interiors!
